about

Nathalie Joyce (they/she) is a queer curandera de corazón descended from a long lineage of Afro-Cuban healers and Gallega meigas.

Their community relational healing work is guided by ancestral wisdom, contemplative training, and clinical social work education. Nat has offered healing and facilitation across many settings: private practice, community mental health clinics, hospitals, academic institutions, retreat centers, and non-profit organizations.

Nat devoted the early years of their career to Geriatric, Palliative Care, Oncology, and Hospice social work. Intimacy with death affirmed an important truth: our capacity to love and be loved well is what matters most. Nat’s deathwork deepened their understanding of how structural oppression and unhealed ancestral trauma impacts relationships, till the last breath. Nat’s commitment to justice gets expressed in her current healing work with relationships of all shapes and orientations.

Nat has a gift for holding and guiding relationships through vulnerable and potent stages of development. Her magic comes alive with people who are willing to co-create a culture of liberated love, release their ancestral burdens, and center embodiment.

Nat offers tools to help partners recall primal and ancestral memories of belonging and security. They teach embodiment practices that help partners access more presence, harmony, and pleasure.

Nat’s work engages the question: How can partners cultivate resources of love and security in service of collective healing for their lineages, communities, and justice movements?

Nat is a devotee of plant medicine and West African and Gallego ancestral indigenous spiritual practices. She weaves the wisdom of her plant, human, and spirit kindred into private sessions and community offerings. Nat loves making wild rose honey to sweeten brave truths and soothe the heart.

Nat is grateful to practice right relationship with the traditional homelands of the Nonotuck Peoples. They love watching the hawks dip low, taking dappled sunlight walks without their glasses on, and bathing in the sweet waters with their son and Beloveds.

“Collective liberation is only possible if we are in right relationship with ourselves, our beloveds, our ancestors, and our Earth.”
